Why is the provider a US LLC?

Because we work internationally. The provider and contracting party is DigitalFreedom Global LLC, a company under the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.

One contracting party in every country

Clients in many countries have one constant contracting party: the same company, the same address and the same invoicing, wherever they are based. The work is done remotely and independent of location, in German and in English.

Invoices to businesses in the EU without VAT: reverse charge

DigitalFreedom Global LLC is a business established outside the EU. Our invoices to businesses in the EU therefore show no VAT. The VAT is owed by the client under the reverse-charge procedure (in Germany under § 13b UStG), and every invoice carries the required notice "Steuerschuldnerschaft des Leistungsempfängers" (reverse charge). A business entitled to deduct input tax declares this VAT and deducts it in the same return, so it does not pre-finance any VAT. For this we need the client's VAT identification number, which we verify before invoicing.

Invoices to businesses outside the EU, for example in Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the USA, carry no EU VAT. Purchases inside our apps are processed and invoiced by Apple and Google, including the VAT that applies.

Simple international payment

We invoice in euros or US dollars, and clients pay by bank transfer in the invoice currency. The payment details are on every invoice.

Early access to new technology

New platform features and AI services often launch in the USA first. Apple Intelligence, for example, started in US English in October 2024 and reached iPhone users in the EU in April 2025; iPhone Mirroring is still not available in the EU. As a US company we contract directly with US providers and can use new services as soon as they are offered to US businesses, and prepare our clients' apps for them before they arrive in Europe.

Data in Europe

The US seat does not move our servers. Our own infrastructure runs in data centres in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and London (United Kingdom). When we work remotely, we connect through an encrypted tunnel to our server in Frankfurt. Which data is processed where is set out in the privacy policy.

The address in Sheridan

30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801 is the address of our registered agent, Northwest Registered Agent Service Inc. Every company registered in Wyoming must name a registered agent with an address in the state, where official documents are received. We do not work at this address; we work remotely.

Who is behind the company

The company is run by its two members, M. Berger and J. Rosenstock, who are also its authorized representatives. Both are named in the imprint.
