The App Architect is the brand DigitalFreedom Global LLC uses for client projects: building, taking over or rescuing apps and the systems behind them, and then running them, fully looked after, for companies without their own technical lead and for teams with their own IT. The promise behind the brand: "Your app runs. I take care of the rest." Typical starting points: the developer is gone, a prototype has to go live, a store rejected it, or a customer is reviewing the company as a supplier. DigitalFreedom is the trade name of the same company, and our own apps and our YouTube videos are published under it as well. Both names therefore refer to one company, and the contracting party is always DigitalFreedom Global LLC. Yes. Client projects of this kind run through The App Architect: a fixed-price App Check first, then the accounts are moved into the client's name, a fresh build is shipped, and then, if the client wants it, we run the app, fully looked after. Prices are on theapparchitect.com.

Yes. DigitalFreedom Global LLC is a limited liability company under the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State. The Filing ID is given in the imprint and lets you match the registration with the Wyoming Secretary of State. The imprint also gives the address, the authorised representatives M. Berger and J. Rosenstock, and the company's contact channels. The English version is the legally authoritative one; the German version is a translation for information.

Because it gives clients one constant contracting party: the same company, the same address, the same governing law and the same invoicing, wherever the client is based. For us, the structure is also simple to administer. The registration can be checked with the Wyoming Secretary of State using the Filing ID in the imprint.

Because we wanted exactly the name DigitalFreedom, and it was already taken under .com and the other large endings. We choose by what works best, not by country: the domain comes from one country, the company is registered in another, and the servers are in yet another. We take the best the world has to offer and pass it on to our clients, which is also why our products are so varied. So the ending does not tell you who you contract with: your contracting party is DigitalFreedom Global LLC in Wyoming, USA, and our infrastructure is in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The contracting party is DigitalFreedom Global LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, a company under the laws of the State of Wyoming. Under the terms, a contract is formed by written order confirmation, that is, a quote with a signed acceptance or an email exchange with a clearly confirmed scope. Conflicting terms of the client, such as its purchasing conditions, are expressly excluded (clause 1 of the terms). For your business it mainly means that your contracting party is a company under the laws of the State of Wyoming, while the collaboration itself runs remotely. Coordination is mostly in writing, and the state of the work can be read at any time. What matters for procurement and legal, the further questions on this page answer one by one: the governing law and venue, VAT inside and outside the EU, the invoicing currency and the handling of data. Yes. We are happy to provide proof on request; ask for it at hello@digitalfreedom.co.za or raise it in the initial call. Liability itself is governed by clause 10 of the terms: we are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and wilful or wanton misconduct, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever mandatory applicable law, in particular product liability law, does not permit a limitation. For slightly negligent breach of essential contractual duties, liability is limited to the contract-typical foreseeable damage, capped at the total fixed price under the offer concerned, for ongoing services at the fees paid for the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (clause 10.2); otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.

Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA for your project; please raise it when you enquire through theapparchitect.com. Independently of that, under clause 11 of the terms both parties are bound to confidentiality, for 5 years after the contract ends. We do not disclose code, data models or non-public business logic without your express consent (clause 8.4). After go-live we may name a project as a reference unless you object in text form.

Under the terms for client projects (clause 14), the law of the US state of Wyoming applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the client is a business or a public body, claims against us must be brought exclusively before the courts of Sheridan County, Wyoming; we may in addition sue the client at its general place of jurisdiction (clause 14.2). Amendments and additions to the terms require text form (clause 14.4), and there are no oral side agreements (clause 2). If you would like a different arrangement, please raise it with us before the order confirmation.

All prices are net. The tax treatment is clarified before the contract is signed and set out in the quote (clause 4.1 of the terms). For business clients in the EU with a valid VAT ID, this is normally the reverse-charge procedure, which we confirm through VIES before the first invoice. How you book it is a question for your tax adviser; we do not give tax advice.

No. We offer consulting and development to businesses only. Private individuals can only use our finished apps on the App Store and Google Play, our free software on GitHub, or watch our content on YouTube. You obtain the apps through the stores; questions about a product are answered at support@digitalfreedom.co.za. Businesses request client projects through theapparchitect.com.

We invoice in euros or US dollars. The currency is stated, like the price, in the binding quote you receive before the project starts. Under the fixed-price model, unless agreed otherwise, 30 per cent is due at project start after the brief is approved, and the rest in stages against accepted milestones (clause 4.2 of the terms). Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date without deduction (clause 4.3).

Your data lives primarily on our servers in the United Kingdom and Europe, our email with a Swiss provider on servers in France. Source code and our websites are hosted by GitHub in the USA. Every service provider, with location and contractual basis, is listed in the section “Where our data lives” on this page. If we process personal data of your business or your customers in a project, we conclude a data processing agreement with you under Art. 28 GDPR (clause 12 of the terms); it is available on request and covers, among other things, processing only on documented instructions, sub-processors, notification of personal data breaches, and deletion or return of data after the contract ends. We work in English and German; this site is available in both. Enquiries and coordination are possible in both languages. We build apps natively in Swift or cross-platform in Flutter. Backends are built in Java with Quarkus, designed to scale. We stick to this stack because we know it in depth and deliver fast and reliably with it. The same stack runs our own apps in production, and everything is documented so that any team can take over. The code sits in the client's repository from the start of the project; with each paid milestone the rights to everything delivered up to that point, including source code, build pipelines and infrastructure configuration, pass to the client (clause 8 of the terms).

Yes. We develop with AI assistance using tools from leading providers and review every change manually before it ships. This combines classic software engineering with modern tooling: fast, stable and at competitive fixed prices. The same rules of the terms apply to the result whatever the tool, for example acceptance (clause 7) and a warranty period of 12 months from final acceptance (clause 9.1). Which tools are used in a project and how we handle your project data, we are glad to discuss before the project starts.

Yes. For operations we sign individual contracts with a service level agreement (SLA) that define services and response times; as standard we respond to critical outages within 4 hours on business days, and to everything else within 1 business day (clause 9.5). Operations and care are offered as a flat monthly fee; current starting prices are on theapparchitect.com. Operations, hosting, maintenance and support are not included in the fixed price (clause 4.6): operations run under the flat monthly fee (clause 9.5), hosting and third-party costs are billed by usage (clause 4.4), and maintenance and support outside an operations agreement are provided only on a separate written order. Ongoing contracts such as running the servers of an app run for the agreed term and renew for the agreed period unless terminated 4 weeks before expiry (clause 13.1). Separately, a warranty period of 12 months from final acceptance applies (clause 9.1), and The App Architect fixes bugs free of charge for the first 90 days after launch.

Through theapparchitect.com: the initial call takes 30 minutes and is free, and you hear back within one business day with a clear next step. In the initial call we go through your idea, the scope, the budget range and the timeline; it is non-binding. The scope is then fixed in writing, and the fixed price per milestone is set in a binding quote before the project starts. The contract is formed by written order confirmation, and before work begins both sides approve a written project brief (clauses 2 and 3.1 of the terms).
